OhakuneKarioi Under 19s rugby team used their second half wind advantage at Springvale Park, Wanganui to take the game out from under Wanganui Pirates. Pirates with a stiff breeze at their backs kicked off and had Ohakune-Karioi on defence. The play see sawed for the first 15 minutes with neither side showing any authority.
