AUSTRALIAN CRAWL
A certain Australian video-cameraman who frequents Turoa every winter arrived back in town, in grand style, last week. Just in time, you might say, for the season. But it got off to a bad start for him on Sunday when the All Blacks took on his countrymen back in Oz. Being rather outspoken and patriotic, as everyone knows, Bill wagered around town that the Wallabies would be walloping the Kiwis. But Bill's a good sport, because by 6 p.m. on Sunday he had personally delivered cheques totalling several hundred dollars to all of his bettors.
