Thanks to Telethon team

I would like to publicly acknowledge the efforts of everyone involved with Telethon, but particularly Sergeant Raelen May and her hard working team. They all did so much. for us in the -Waiouru Community Centre, answering telephones, orchestrating the various activities, counting the cash, keeping the enthusiasm going, cleaning. up afterwards - to name a few of their tasks. The cash donations and pledges from the Raetihi - Ohakune-Wai-ouru area could well exceed $10,000 excluding those who telephone pledges directly to Palmerston North. Apart from those who will eventually benefit from the contributions, the Telethon event itself did a lot for our, community. Working together for a common cause is in itself a worthy pursuit whether one

raises money in the process or not. To all those who participated and especially the organisers, thank you.

Bestic

Colonel Commander Army Training Group On behalf of myself, wife and family I would

like to thank the Waimarino District Councillors and the old Ohakune B o r o u g h Councillors for their support in the past, also many thanks for the lovely silver tray. However, the reason given for my resignation stated in the Bulletin on May 31 was not exactly true.

My resignation was reluctant, but I could not see myself working under a person with such a very unprofessional attitude. I would also like to thank the Ohakune ratepayers for their help and support in the past.
