Shearing donation "god send"
A generous donation to Palmerston North's Ozanam House is a "god send", according to staff. The donation o f $1200 from Waimarino Rotary, donated in turn by a local shearing gang, was gratefully received by the chair-
man of the Ozanam Villa Trust Board, Jenny Tolhurst. The money was payment to the gang for their part in an Aus-tralian-produced television advertisement for Telecom Australia. 'Silver Screen Film Productions' from Syd-
ney selected the woolshed of Rangataua farmer Gavin Jones for the location. Appropriately, the
cheque was handed over to the trust board at the woolshed. Mrs Tolhurst said the
donation of the money was "timely", due to costly renovations and roof repairs currently underway to the Villa.
