Costly renovations for Army housing

Over $1.1 million will be spent by Army to bring 37 houses in Waiouru's residential area up to Housing Corporation standard. The Ministry o f Works have been given the work contract. The allocated houses will undergo major renovations to interiors, including extensions to

kitchen areas and bedrooms. Work is already underway upon houses in Ballance Road. The first house is expected to be completed by the end of June. MOW officials say there is a waiting list for the houses and newly renovated premises will be filled immediately.
