SKI LODGE TO REOPEN
Ngauruhoe Ski Club's new lodge on the Whakapapa Ski Field is to open this month. The lodge was destroyed by fire last November. There was doubt after the fire whether it would be rebuilt because of the Tongariro National Park policy that bans new accommodation buildings in the park. Opening celebrations will be held at the lodge on Sunday June 26.
