For the girls of Ruapehu College hockey has got off to a good start this season. Although they have lost all their games except one the girls have tried hard and improved the standard of play. The team has had nine new additions - some experienced players and some beginners. The team plays in the Women's division and so have some difficult games against more experienced teams such as Raetihi Rebels, Rangers and T aihape College Boys. But Ruapehu College Girls say they are prepared to give their best. INTER SCHOOL SPORTS On Wednesday June 1 a sports exchange visit took place between Taihape and Ruapehu colleges. The events were rugby, girls' soccer, boys' and girls' hockey and netball. The level of commitment and sportsmanshipthroughout was outstanding. Host teams were later complemented on the standard of the lunch provided afterwards. Results: Girls' soccer 4-2 win, lst XV rugby 26-15 lost, 2nd XV 14-11 lost, 3rd XV 18-6 lost, boys' hockey 4-1 lost, girls' hockey 0-0, netball A team 42-29 lost, B team 30-25 lost, C team 26-21 win.
