Victory for Under 19's

Quick thinking and slick tries went to make up OhakuneKarioi's Under 19's rugby victory over Wanganui Priates on Saturday. They played at Ohakune in ideal playing conditions with no wind. Vallance was next to score with a slick try on the blind side after several scrums close to the Pirates' line. Pirates came back with a vengeance and just before full time scored in the corner. Final score OhakuneKarioi 24 Wanganui Pirates 4. Neil Fredrickson was named Player of the Day, with good games from S. Sutton, D . Howe and D. Brider. Ohakune-Karioi Under 19 travel to Marton next Saturday to play Athletic.
