Ruapehu soccer win

Leading goalscorer Brendan Gammeter grabbed another four goals when the Ruapehu College soccer side won in what was a very hard game against Hautu Prison on Sunday, making them the third prison team t o fall victim to Ruapehu College. The College were 2-0 up at half time, goals

coming from Brendan Gammeter who finished neatly after a r u n through the centre. Jason Langdon got the second when he nodded in a fast post cross which was superbly put by Junior Kaata on the by-line. Brilliant saves from College keeper Dean Drayton prevented any awards for the Hautu

side in the first half, but the second 45 saw the prisoners equalise after 10 minutes. They kept up the pressure with a series of corners, but the College forwards were able to brcak which resulted in Brendan Gammeter scoring another three. Final score College 5, Hautu 3.
