MARAE BUILDINGS AWAIT SEWERAGE SCHEME
Two brand new buildings at Pipiriki will sit unused until a sewerage system is approved by the Waimarino District Council. Officials say work on the Kaumatua flats is near completion. Pipiriki resident Sonny Mikaere said paper hanging and painting will be finished by the end of this week, but neither flat will be occupied until an adequate sewerage system is installed in the community. Mr Mikaere said the Waimarino District CoUncil recommended that the proposal put forward by the Pipiriki Incorporation be altered.
