Many owe to the few

Winston Churchill made a great speech during the war and he meant it. Never have so many owed so much to so few as the few

fighter pilots at the Battle of Britain. Well, never have so many in the Waimarino District owed so much to so few dedicated first

aid personnel here. About 5000 people and only five St John Ambulance personnel plus two Red Cross. Is it that a life is not

worth $40.00, as that is what it costs to learn basic first aid? And who knows, you just might be the one first on the spot. Be it an accident, heart attack, stroke or just a cut. Let me advise you that the $40.00 does not go to me but helps to maintain ambulance services in New Zealand. There is a St John Ambulance course held in the fire brigade hall, Ohakune, 7.30pm, Wednesday nights plus Red Cross courses at Raetihi on Wednesday nights. So how about giving the few a helping hand and take this course and ioin the Brigade.
