STAFF TRAVEL BY TAXI
Waimarino District Council staff are travelling by taxi courtesy of the council until the problem of transport is resolved. District Manager Mr John Murrihy said a taxi was the cheapest option until a permanent arrangement can be decided. When asked about the complaints from various sources to the proposed purchase of a car, at ratepayers expense, Mr Murrihy said: "I know they are (angry) but the council has an obligation to these DeoDle."
