BLANKET APPEAL

Raetihi Borough Councillors decided to start a blanket appeal for East Coast flood relief with a $500 donation at their final meeting Monday March 21. The blanket was to be passed around at Raetihi's medieval day on Saturday to enable people to make their own donation to the flood victim's appeal. Copies of the newspaper put out by The Gisborne Herald as part of the flood relief appeal are still available from the Waimarino Bulletin office, McLeans Bookshop and Hammonds Bookshop. All proceeds from saies of the newspaper go to the flood victims' appeal.
