HOTELIERS APPEAL

While Ohakune Hotel proprietors Bruce and Mary Leggatt are appealing against the approval of the Ohakune Junction Railway development they have decided not to appeal the 'Hamlet' development decision. The hoteliers objected to both developments at town planning hearings in January on similar grounds. Mr Leggatt said due to 'satisfactory negotiations' with the Hamlet developers they would not appeal to the Planning Tribunal against the Hamlet. He would not say what the product of these negotiations were.
