A heavy duty crane was brought to Turoa Skifields last Thursday to lift the reconditioned Parklane Chairlift gearbox into place. The gearbox was found to be faulty after checks were prompted by the failure of the Giant chairlift gearbox. Turoa maintenance staff have a heavy work load ahead of
them to gear up for winter. At the time of the photograph all lifts on the mountain were under repair. Staff are confident the job will be done in time.
