FULL MOON COLD FEET
Most people probably already know about Ranger Rob and regular Gossip Column subject Rita Wise's trip up Ruapehu late last week. The pair set off to climb the mountain after dark, on a bright moonlit night, but didn't go very far because Ranger Rob decided it would be far too embarrassing for a conservation officer to die from hypothermia while guiding an inexperienced full moon climber.
