Messages of congratulations were sent from Ohakune on Friday to Olympic skier Mattias Hubrich, pictured above with Turoa employee Patsy Broad in Canada at the start of the Olympics. Mattias, a TASCI racer who names Ohakune as his home base, was plagued with illness in his last few events. But on Friday the Bulletin organised a facsimilie transmission so that messages of support could be sent to him prior to the final slalom event from the Borough and from Turoa Skifields.
