Myra Crowley, liaison officer for the New Zealand Education Institute and Raetihi s c h o o 1 teacher, says it is with regret that teachers feel it necessary to take some form of industrial action over the proposed State Sector Bill. Teachers from Waimarino schools are not holding a stop work in protest, but will be travelling to Taihape today, 9 February, for a meeting at 5pm. At this meeting the full implications of the bill will be explained by a national executive member of NZEI.
