Market survey for local health needs
The future health service needs of the Waimarino region are currently being assessed as part of a research project undertaken by the Wanganui Area Health Board. A marketing methodology is being used for the study which involves finding out what the community perceives its health needs to be, having the Area Health Board identify what services it is capable of offering and planning the development of those services. Penny Field is Ihe re-
searcher on this project and she will be conducting the needs assessment through questionnaires mailed to one hundred households in the region. Local people involved with an interested in health services to the community will be contacted during the fortnight commencing 25 January 1988. Miss Field is conducting this project as part of her study towards a Masters Degree in Business Administration at Otago University. Seven years experience in the health services, the last two as Charge Dietitian to the Wanganui Area Health Board preceded her business studies.
