Patrick Cooper injured

Just before going to print the Bulletin heard that disabled skier Patrick Cooper, from Ohakune, has been injured while training in

Europe, just days before the Disabled Olympics are due to start. He has damaged a nerve in his leg stump which has caused swelling making it impossible for him to flt his prosthesis. He has been using crutches for the past ten days. Patrick's mother Evlyn Cooper said he was determined to race and may cut his false leg to fit. Patrick Cooper has been very pleased with his skiing progress so far, especially in the US (see story back page).
