Horse riding upsets council
Horses being ridden along the grass verges of streets in Raetihi township are worrying Raetihi Borough Councillors. The problem was discussed at some length by councillors at the latest full council meeting. Mayor Garrick Workman expressed concern about the dangers of horses galloping or moving with some speed along verges. Mr Workman said he was not concerned about horses in the Borough "as long as they are under control". Council are to insist the riding of horses along grass verges in the town is prohibited.
