Security forever

Recent happenings on the Stock Exchange and the down turn in our economy plus the increase of crime and violence have caused many of us to think again. New Zealand must be one of the best countries in the

world to live, yet the very foundation of our society is being shaken. Marriage breakdowns, young people without jobs, farmers going to the wall, AIDS steadily increasing all paints a rather gloomy picture. Even the Bible seems to forecast this change in our land. Yet all is not lost, through the doom and gloom comes one who can give us the security we so long for. His security is not just for this life but for the one to come. Ask yourself, does money bring me security, does a job or marriage bring me happiness or fulfilment? These things help but how long will they last, how long will they satisfy? Jesus Christ is the only one who can bring permanent security. He can never be shaken, His promises and provisions are ours forever, if we would only believe. If we died with Him, we also live with Him, if we endure, we will also reign with Him, if we disown Him, He will also disown us, if we are faithless, He will remain faithful, for He cannot disown Himself. 2 Timothy 2:11-13. Kevin L. Martin
