Orautoha Pet Day

A magpie was one of the more unusual animals that featured in the line-up of pets at Orautoha School's pet day last week. As well as being an annual event, the school's pet day is something of a social occasion for parents and children. Children's activities include biscuit and pikelet making, handwriting and poem writing competitions. Parents have the opportunity to enter into the adults' scone baking event. Certificates of merit were awarded to the first four place-getters in each category. Results Junior Box Construction 1. Wayne Graham, 2. Tai Cotter, 3. Megan Enright. Sandsaucer 1. Tai Cotter, 2.
