Shed Fire

The Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade tried to save what remained of a woolshed on Goldfinch Estate that was consumed by fire on Sunday night. Both appliances attended the blaze at 10.50pm, which by then was well underway. The problem of thick smoke obstructing vision maae the job of extinguishing the fire difficult. The glow and thick clouds of smoke could be seen by motorists on State Highway 47 some distance down the road.
