O.K. for Raetihi B&B
An application to operate a bed and breakfast lodging house in Ameku Road, Raetihi has been approved by the Raetihi Borough Council. The successful application was made by Colin Frericksen, of Raetihi. Conditions placed on the approval include that no more than 12 guests stay at one time, that off street parking be provided and that access and the parking area be adequately screened from neighbours. A white line is to be placed down the centre of Ameku Road, around a bend which is considered to be dangerous. Council will also erect a sign advising motorists to watch out for children. The applicant is to bear the cost of this.
