Waiouru-Ohakune sports

On Wednesday 12 August Waiouru and Ohakune Primary Schools met for a winter sports day. This was the first time the two school's have played each other for more than 10 years; Waiouru won a total of six games and Ohakune four. Results were: Rugby A Ohakune 0, Waiouru 8; Rugby B Ohakune 28, Waiouru 4; Netball A Ohakune 14, Waiouru 8; Netball B

Ohakune 0, Waiouru 3; Netball C Ohakune 1, Waiouru 6; Netball D Ohakune 1, Waiouru 9. Soccer and hockey teams were mixed girls and boys. Hockey A Ohakune 3, Waiouru 0; Hockey B Ohakune 7, Waiouru 0; Soccer A Ohakune 0, Waiouru 8; Soccer B Ohakune 0, Waiouru 6.
