Shiga Kogen visitors

Fifteen children and the two coaches from Shiga Kogen, have been in the Waimarino since last week on a continuing exchange between the two ski areas. President of TASCI Bruce Wilde said the visitors found the icy conditions of Turoa very challenging which was some compensation for the shortened skiing time. When riot in training they enjpyed some sight-seeing, including visiting Turangi's trout hatcheries and hot pools, and a jet-boat ride up the Wanganui River.
