As with the final score the teams were evenly matched with a draw of 7all. An Ohakune penalty kick attempt hit the upright in the closing minutes of the game. Raetihi led for the first half of the game after Akima Renata scored a good winger's try - the result of good back play in which Fraser Edmonds featured well again this week. Himi Rapana played well at 2nd five but inexperience saw him often out of position. Ohakune levelled the score 10 minutes after half time with a try by Andrew Scott. Then both teams each kicked a dropgoal, one by Darren McDonnell for Raetihi and the other by Humphrey Whatarangi for Ohakune.
