New tractor for Borough
The newest acquisition of the Ohakune Borough Council is expected to increase efficiency and improve the appearance of the Borough. The 50hp Ford Green
Flail Master tractor mower was purchased recently by the Works Department to replace the Zetor tractor that has been in use since 1975. Equipped with a synchromesh column shift transmission and a fine cut grass mower, the tractor is
the top model on the market and valued at $35,000. The Borough plans to purchase several attachments for the tractor at a later stage including a front end loader and road broom. Ratepayers can soon expect to see the difference a superior mower makes.
