Nurses support

Nurses support meetings in Waiouru are a means for nurses from all fields to share experience and find support. The meetings are held once a month, alternating between Ohakune/Raetihi and Waiouru.

Based on Taihape's meetings which are highly successful, the support groups are immensely popular. Registered or enrolled nurses including Plunket, Karitane and Public Health nurses attend the lunchtime sessions which serve as a link within the district as well as being informative. A variety of topics are discussed at the meetings, including Neuro Linguistic Programming and roles of nurses within the community.
