OBITUARY Ella Willcox

Ella Willcox, a long time resident of the Waimarino area, died last week at Waimarino hospital aged 77. Ella Willcox was born and raised in the Stratford area, one of ten children. She attended a country school near the borough and worked in the area before she met and married Herbert in 1932. They came to this area in 1932, living in Jerusalem then Raetihi and finally Ohakune where they raised their family- Shirley, Blue, Bob and Audrey. Ella was a founding member of the indoor bowls club in Ohakune and was active with the RSA for a time. Her family and friends numbered a great many, including several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
