Waimarino Squash
The second round of the Waimarino Squash Club's interbusiness squash competition began last Wednesday. 'Taihape' beat 'The Mob\ 'Winstone 1 ' beat 'Peaches & Cream', 'Hotel Rebels' beat 'Karate Kids'and 'Possums' beat 'Woodroom'. There was great excitement in games between 'Karate Kids' and 'Hotel Rebels' with Tommy Waara playing against two nephews and a niece in the 'Karate Kids' team. 'Possums' have got away to a good start in the second
round with a win against Sam's boys from the 'Woodroom'. Points for these eight teams after their second games are: Division 1: The Mob 422, Peaches & Cream 312, Taihape 407, Winstone 1 440. Division 2: Hotel Rebs 465, Woodroom 426, Karate Kids 410, Possums 490. Teams playing 29 April are: Division 1 - Cedar play Reynolds, Winstone 2 play Webbs; Division 2 - Karate Gals (& Guys) play PBs, Winstone 3 play BNZ. Games start at 6pm.
