Netball season starts

On Saturday 14 April the Waimarino Netball Association held its opening day tournament. There were 2 sections in this open grade tournament. In section two there was a tie for first place which meant a play-off between Raetihi and Ramblers. Ramblers were the eventual winners. In section one Central were the outright winners. This meant Central and

Ramblers had to play one another for winner and runner-up overall. This was an action packed game which resulted in a tie at full time. After extra time it was Central winners and Ramblers runner-up. Both teams were presented with team trophies and badges for each player. These were donated by the sponsor Ohakune New World.
