No more freedom

The Waimarino RSA received notice of the Fourth Supply Company at Army Training Group's decline of the council's offer of Freedom of the Raetihi Borough. In February, the Raetihi Borough Council were informed by the Commanding Officer of the company, Major D. H. Watmaff, that it was generally felt the 4th Supply Company would not be able to meet the full and expected responsibilities associated with exercising the freedom. The Waimarino RSA and the, Borough expressed their disappointment but are hopeful that the company will still be in attendance at ANZAC day services in the future.
