Fatal Accident
On Saturday afternoon 15 February a Suzuki van left the road north of Horopito and struck a boulder. Both occupants of the van were killed instantly in the crash. The victims were a Wanganui couple, Josef and Inge Jungwirth. They were in their Iate fifties. The couple were travelling north on State Highway Four 4km north of Horopito when the van failed to negotiate a left-hand bend.
