Winds of Change

The winds of change are around us always, sometimes blowing softly, and occasionally hard, but none-the-less gentling us onward. We must all face change of one sort or another - and each of us has a different tolerance level. To not accept change as a challenge isto regress, to die a little; but that is not to say all change is for the better. Change for the sake of change is rarely beneficial. We need to be prompted by the urge for improvement, in self, or surroundings, in recognising the necessity for change. That is why Christ said: Except a person is converted and changed he is not fit for heaven. For some, change is not easy. Some seem to have an in-built opposition to it and are happy with the old, tried and true.

We ought, of course, to hold fast to that which is right, and pray for the courage to change only that which does not seem right, refusing to be wrongly swayed by others around us. It has been said: Prayer changes things — and without a shadow of doubt that is correct. So if we have any doubts we can always pray about them, that we will be guided aright. And Scripture tells us that if we ask anything in Jesus' name God will hear and answer us, just the same as if someone came to us and asked us to do something for them because of their friendship with a child of ours. If we ask God to change us and accept us into His Spiritual family for Jesus'sake and in His name, then He hears and answers — and even the angels are satisfied and nraise God
