Trucks damage road

Waimarino County Council's overseer, Mr Don Sattler expressed deep concern about the number of heavy vehicles speeding along the stretch of Mangateitei Road, just out of Rangataua township. The substantial damage to the road caused by contractors hauling metal at high speed has upset some residents and despite attempts at catching offenders^in the act, so far Mr Sattler has been unsuccessful. However if any member of the public witnesses vehicles travelling at excessive speeds, they can report it to the Ministry of Transport.
