Whanganui summer success

The Summer Nature Programme of the Wan-* ganui River Park ended on a high note last week after a very successful summer holiday period. The Drop Scene walk proved to be by far the most popular activfty, with a record number of 73 people in attendance during one walk. Senior ranger at Pipiriki John Lythgoe, said he had received some excellent feedback from the public concerning this year's programme. The lowest number to attend a walk was 17 and on average the number was 37. Mr Lythgoe said he was very pleased with this year's level of participation and said only a couple of walks had to be cancelled due to bad weather.
