Against Laying Poison
THE New Zealand Deerstalkers' Association has written to Government expressing its opposition to a proposed 1080 poison laying operation planned by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries in June 1987 in the Pureora/ Western Taupo /King Country region. Planned by the department for use in 'controlling' TB infected opossums, the proposal involves large areas of state forest, other Crown land and pastoral farms in the region affected.
