Pony Club Games Day Results
The Waimarino Pony Club Games Day held weekend before last was a tremendous success, according to officials. The games day was held at the A & P Showgrounds in Raetihi which has a siz.able arena ideal for such activities. About 28 Pony Club riders from Ohakune and Raetihi competed in a variety of unusual and often difficult tests of speed and ingenuity which tested both horse and mount. The games were divided into three sections: for 9 years and under; 10-12 years and 13 years and over. Competition commenced at 1 0.30am and carried on until 3pm on what was a veryhotday. Chief instructor for the Waimarino Pony Club, Nicki Williams, would like to extend thanks to all those
