Police File

Ohakune Police are pleased to report a dramatic drop in the number of reported criminal offences in the last three weeks to the extent that the'Police File'section of the Bulletin has been empty! This causes us to ponder on what turn of events has led the erring individuals amongst us to this abrupt change of heart and behaviour. Some may claim it is Divine Intervention prompted by the Papal visit later this month! Perhaps it is the warmth of the fast-approaching Festive Season with the traditional 'good-will towards all men' theme, or merely the relief of another ski season ended, that has seen the level of criminal activity plummet. In ail seriousness, the Police deserve a lot of the credit for their perservering dedication to the fight against crime. Whatever the reason — let's keep this record up!
