Under-19 rugby play well

The Ohakune-Karioi under-19 team probably played their best game of the season even though they went down to Utiku 27-0 at Taihape. Ohakune-Karioi outplayed Utiku, the top team in the competition, for much of the game and held them to 3-0 until just before halftime. Utiku were given a scare by a team which outscrummaged them throughout the game and might have scored several tries had their backs had more experience. Coach Warren Swain said that no player could be picked out because the whole team played a full part in a very good performance.
