Waiouru health watch meeting

The community health watch committee recently set up in the Waimarino is to be emulated in Waiouru. A meeting to set up a Waiouru health watch committee is to be held at 7.30pm on Monday 25 August in the community centre in Queree Drive, Waiouru. The aim of health watch committees is to provide a link between the Wanganui Area Health Board and the people who are served by it. Such committees investigate local health needs and recomrriend to the health board ways of meeting them. The community health watch committee enables people to have their say on health matters and on health board actions and proposals, and encourages local people to look after their own health and generally raise health awareness.
