Turoa Tumblers

Five boys from the Turoa Tumblers' junior squad travelled to Napier for the Hawkes Bay Poverty Bay Open Championships on 19 and 20 July. Scott Wise (Grade 7) earned a 2nd on rings (9.0) and came fifth overall. Shaun McLean (Grade 3) gained 2nd equal on rings and 1st on parallel bars and came home with a bronze medal for third overall. All the entrants returned stronger for the experience. During the coming weekend the Tumblers' senior squad will be representing the Wanganui Manawatu Gymnastic Association at the North Island Championships in New Plymouth.
