Raetihi Pony Club AGM

The Raetihi Pony Club recently held its A.G.M. with a good attendance of members and supporters. The President, Allison McGregor, reported a very busy season with nine mounted and three unmounted rallies being held. The highlight of the season was the Pony Club Camp held in January at Kopia Station, with beautiful weather, lots of riding and swims at Ruatiti Domain and no mishaps. We hope this will become an annual event. Our Branch organised several events, including the Waimarino Games Day, Open Hunter Trials, Dressage Day, Open Games and Gamblers Day and Cheryl Monds course prior to Christmas, the only outside j instruction organised by the Waimarino Club. During the winter a Horsemastership Quiz was held with a

trophy donated by Ann Roke going to the winning team. A day was spent in Owhango going over the new C+ Certificate, a bit premature for us with no C Certificate riders yet. With the numbers of D Certificate passes this year, we look to a busy year or two ahead. We had a good year for collecting more equipment, having added poles, dressage ropes and standards, kindly donated by the McCoubrie family, and jump stands and numbered bodices will be ready for next season. Mrs McGregor thanked everyone for their support and time, those who had painted, made ribbons, helped move gear and generally given support and

help to our instructors, Nicky Williams, Roey McGill and Claudia Mason who had done a wonderful job. Mrs McGregor was reelected President, Mrs Marie Allerby became Secretary/Treasurer, Mrs Nicky Williams re-elected Co-ordinator and Mrs Glenis Langdon as Publicity Qfficer. Trophy winners for the season were: Maclean Cup. Sally Williams. Taihape Vet. Club Cup, Trudi Allerby. Dobson Bros. Cup. Jose Keith / Sharon Wagstaff. Williams Trophy, Marni McGregor. C. & B. Fredericksen Cup, Sarah Cornwall. Kui Criffin Cup, Shari Mason. McGregor Cup, Heather Irwin. McGill Cup, Rachel James. Bowater cup, Shari Mason. Waipuna Ridge Cup, Rodney McCoubrie. D Certificates were earned by Trudi Allerby, Sarah Cornwall, Cindy Landon, Helene Dobson and Rachel Jarres.
