County committees
The Waimarino County Clerk Mrs Hope Vaughan told the recent county meeting that she though it would be advisable for council committees to hold meetings separate to full council. She said that after attending the recent Counties Conference in Dunedin she saw that other authorities found the system worked well and reduced the length of full council meetings. Council decided that the works and town planning committees will meet on the first Thursday of the month, finance on the second Thursday, while full council will remain on the third Thursday.
