Library collects historical material

The Ohakune Library has very little information on the history of Ohakune and the surrounding district. As this information is often requested the librarian would like to compile a file. This would include the history of Ohakune and other towns that used to or still do exist in the Waimarino. If a business, shop, farm, place of work or church has items of news, posters, photographs or any other item of historical interest the librarian would be pleased to include the information in the file. Items can be photocopied so that the material can be returned to the owner if this is requested. If you have any items could you please contact the librarian.
