Whakapapa ski patrol into action
Whakapapa Skifield's volunteer ski patrol began their duties over Queen's Birthday weekend. About 10 members of the patrol, who come from all over the North Island, began preparing skifield equipment, training and carrying out maintenance One of the four volunteer patrols, which have about 1 6 people in each, will work every weekend from now on in preparation for the ski season. The professional ski patrol begins nearer the beginning of the ski season.
