Plunket Woolshed Whirl
About $1400 was raised at the Ohakune Plunket Society's "Woolshed Whirl" last week at Mike and Rachael Fraser's property off Lakes Road near Ohakune. The woolshed was decorated for the occasion and over 200 guests dressed in all manners of fancy dress. "Intro" the Raetihi band, provided the music. Funds raised from the evening will go towards paying the expenses of the local plunket nurse, and for a new car for the nurse later this year. Mrs Fraser said after the evening that it was a bigger success than she had expected and a similar function may be held later.
