The evening will be held in the Waiouru Community Centre at 7.30pm on Tuesday 29 April. ★ ★ ★ To care for animals while their owners are on holiday, the Rangitikei SPCA is offering a "feed a pet" service. Owners provide the food and for $1 a day, society members will feed animals. They will also take dogs for a walk for an extra donation. The service costs $5 a week for cats and $7 for dogs. Other animals will also be looked after. Those who would like to become members and help take part in 'feed a pet', or those who wish to have their pets looked after, can phone the Ohakune coordinator, Rosalind Donald, phone 58681 day, 58-641 evenings; Waiouru coordinator, Tania Klaricich, phone 56-028. As yet there is no coordinator in Taihape so people there shoujd phone the Waiouru number. ★ ★ ★ The SPCA will be holding a stall at Waiouru's Crafty Kiwi day on Saturday 3 May at the community centre. Items for the stall such as cakes, crafts and good quality second-hand goods, would be much appreciated by the society. They can be dropped off at 1 Stewart Street, Waiouru by 2 May.
